But some users who attempt to upgrade their Windows 7 and 8 virtual machines in VMware Workstation and Fusion may encounter a problem when using the “ Get Windows 10” app, with the app informing users that their virtual “PC” doesn’t meet the minimum technical specifications for Microsoft’s latest operating system. With Windows 10, Microsoft aims to make it as easy as possible - perhaps too easy - for Windows 7 and 8 users to upgrade.
